nEW FOR AUTUMN 2024:
THE ADHD AWARENESS & INFO SERIES
For those who have recently discovered they may have ADHD; a series of 5 webinars covering awareness, diagnosis, work, support and psychoeducation.
Why do we need these webinars? Google is free after all…
There is a lot of information out there about ADHD. Some of it’s great. Some of it’s… not so great. Figuring out what is right, what you need to know and putting it in some kind of logical order is exhausting at the best of times; it’s made worse by things like stigma, ableism, misinformation and reduced access to services.
Like many others, I only recently came to realise that my brain might not be like everyone else’s; in 2022 I spoke to my doctor to seek a diagnosis and received my formal diagnosis in April 2023 at the age of 38. However, as an executive coach and former mental capacity lawyer, I appreciate that I had huge amount of privilege and insight into how to consider whether I had ADHD, seek a diagnosis, consider support options and more.
When you have a condition like ADHD, you don't suffer from a deficit of attention. It is instead a struggle to harness that focused attention. So when you are surrounded with information that is new, overwhelming, and potentially even incorrect, it can be difficult to move forward.
What qualifies me to deliver training?
In October 2023 I signed up for a clinical level ADHD training and opened my books for what I then labelled a ‘beta test’ of ADHD coaching. I thought I was going to take on somewhere between 2 - 4 clients and deliver 10 - 20 hours of coaching.
That wasn’t quite how it worked out…!
Over the course of 3 months I instead took on nearly 20 clients, have delivered approaching 200 hours of 1:1 ADHD coaching with another 100 hours booked…
I also:
signed myself to another 3 neurodiversity specialist clinical level trainings,
bought more books than is probably healthy,
have joined a neurodiversity specialist coaching supervision group led by one of the leading names in executive coaching, and
have taken on several clients who have received support from their employers and/or access to work.
All this alongside my own journey of diagnosis, medication and Access to Work, as well as 8 years experience as an executive coach, more than 1,300 hours of 1:1 coaching delivered, my previous career as a lawyer specialising in mental capacity, disability and paying for care…
After a year spent in this world, there are so many topics that come up again and again with my clients.
Things that we wish we had known about seeking a diagnosis.
What we wish we'd known about medication, seeking support.
How to consider what support we might need after a lifetime of living with undiagnosed ADHD.
How to understand and support ourselves in a way that feels compassionate and really meets our needs, instead of beating ourselves up for the things that we wish we could have done.
And that's where these webinars come in.
About the webinars
Much like my ‘beta test’ of coaching, these webinars are new. I want to be completely transparent with you; these webinars are the result of hours spent with clients and seeing the same issues arise between them, and my own life. They are a 1st attempt to try and collect all of the knowledge, resources, hints and tips and tricks that I've accumulated over the past 2 years. They are framed by the idea of “what do I wish I, and my clients, had known at the beginning of this journey”.
Whilst there is going to be a huge amount of information and resources in these webinars for you, I am not claiming to be The Expert in all things ADHD. This is not The One Webinar To Rule Them All. It is simply me collecting up all the pebbles from my personal and professional beach and sharing them with you.
I'm offering these webinars at a reduced cost to reflect their beta test status. I will invite all attendees to provide me with feedback, and I may iterate, redevelop and relaunch these webinars at a later date. However, there is no guarantee and please don’t think it’s ‘buy now or pay £1m later’. My webinars tend to cost less than £50 each at full price.
How does it work?
Think of these webinars like a buffet table. You can pick as much or as little as you like. Sign up to just a single webinar, add yourself to 2 that stand out to you, take what you need. Each webinar costs £15 and you will be able to attend the session live on zoom, receive a copy of the recording and of my notes to watch again and refer back to.
However, if you have a desire to fill your plate with these webinars, you can also buy all 5 of them at a reduced cost. All 5 webinars costs £50, which represents a saving of around 1/3.
Finally if you would like a little more support, you can buy all 5 webinars and add a 45 minute one-to-one call with me, to be used between now and the end of the year. One-to-one calls can be used to go further than the webinars covered, to get individual coaching advice or support, to talk through your options or even to use as body doubling and accountability. The 5 webinars + a 45 minute 1:1 costs £75
As these are a beta test I’m limiting attendee numbers, so you won't find yourself drowning in a massive group of people.
There is a maximum of 10 season tickets, to give you access to all 5 webinars,
There are a maximum of 5 season tickets + 1:1 call.
If any single webinar receives more than a dozen signups outside of the season tickets, I will close registration.
You do not need to attend the webinars live, however there will be an opportunity for a brief Q&A at the end of each session, which will take place off recording. This may be a way to get your questions answered if you haven't signed up for the one-to-one option. Recordings will be uploaded and made available to you within a week of each webinar taking place, and I will also provide a copy of my slides for you to refer back to.

Deficits is in the title of ADHD. Going through the diagnostic journey, we have to focus on the deficits, the places where ADHD has let us down, and the struggles that we've encountered. There are also a lot of people who will tell you how ADHD is a superpower, how special your brain is because of it.
Well you will have to excuse me but, I think there's a better way.
Developing a strengths-based approach to ADHD means focusing on more than just the deficits, and understanding the strengths, the passions, the brilliant outcomes that ADHD can help us create, but (and this is key) without emotionally bypassing all of the difficulties that come with ADHD.
In this webinar, join Leah to discuss:
The medical and social model of disability, and how these affect our understanding of ADHD
Approaching ADHD as you would a naughty puppy; learning how to work with it, trainer and support it, rather than rubbing its nose in its mistakes!
Understanding the role of environmental and social support, and how to make changes to support what you do best
How to approach difficulties and struggles with a strengths-based mindset
When: 27th November 2024, 10am-11am
